1.      GRE Score validity

How long GRE score is valid?” is most common question among the students. GRE score is valid for 5 years. That means even though if you are not sure about the admission, you can give it a try in the meantime and the score can be valid for five years. Top Universities accepts good GRE Score up to five years.

2.      GRE scoring is Adaptive

GRE test is an adaptive test where the score will be adjusted as per the difficulty level. The algorithm is set in a way that the difficulty level of the second parts of the Quant and verbal sections depends on the test-takers performance in the first parts.

If the candidate is answering the difficult questions, the score will be adjusted upwards.

3.      GRE score is individual for each section

Unlike other tests, GRE scoring is individual for each section. As the GRE has three sections, Quantitative, Verbal and Analytical Writing, sore will also different. Quant and verbal sections will be scored as 130-170 and the Analytical writing score will be in the range of 0-6.0 

What is a Good GRE Score out of 340? A good GRE score means 157 in verbal and 160 in Quant section together gives 317 overall. 320+ is the best score. But if your institution has cut off more than 320, then 320 cannot be a good score. So check the college website to set your target score.

4.      GRE Scores accepted by both Grad and Business Schools

The best part of the GRE score is, both graduation and business schools accept it as a standardized test to evaluate their applications. Here, the threshold of GRE section-wise score may differ for Graduation and Business schools.
