How is PTE Essay Writing scored?

Here are the maximum scores for each prospect from the essay.

Content – 3 points

Formal Requirements – 2 points

Structure & Coherence – 2 points

Grammar – 2 points

Vocabulary – 2 points

Linguistic range – 2 points

No spelling mistakes – 2 points

So, a total of 15 points can be scored from the essay writing section in PTE from the above prospects.

1.      Boost your Vocabulary:

Vocabulary is the key to any essay or passage. So make sure to improve your vocabulary by learning new words every day. The best way to improve vocabulary is by reading magazines, newspapers, books and using those words in daily life or while writing, to score more in the PTE Test.

2.      Grammar is the Key

Sentence Structures, punctuations, use of verbs, tenses, and prepositions, etc, are the key components of Grammar that play a vital role in any essay.

3.      Use phrases and idioms

The best way to attract test takers is by using phrases and idioms at some intervals. But make sure to use them only when required but not repeatedly because it should not sound meaningless with more phrases.

4.      Practice more

The more practice you do the better score you can get. And it needs fine practice to finish an essay of 200-300 words in twenty minutes without any flaw. For topics, there are many sources on the internet for sample topics for essay writing. Utilize them to improve your PTE writing score.

5.      Read the prompt carefully
