How is New Short PTE Academic Advantageous?

As we all knew that, PTE academic has been shortened recently and there were multiple questions from students like whether the new shortened version is advantageous to students or not. But we are here to clarify all the doubts and explain how the new PTE is advantageous.

How New Short PTE Academic is Advantageous – GT Prep

Benefits of New Short PTE Academic:

1.     Less duration

An obvious advantage of the new PTE is the test duration. Almost 1 hour is reduced which means a good amount of time is being saved for the student. But most of the students feel reducing the exam duration can make the time management tough in turn the exam can be tougher.

2.     Fewer Questions

The fact that the exam duration is reduced has also made Pearson’s team reduce the number of questions. So it is clear that fewer questions and less exam duration are helpful as PTE exam preparation tips.

Previously, the PTE test used to have 70-82 questions. Now the count has been reduced to 52-64 questions. To crack any test, spending a good amount of time practicing is important. In such cases, fewer questions to practice are also advantageous for students.

3.     No Break

A 10-minute optional break is removed as a part of the new changes in the PTE test. And how is that advantageous? The new PTE test is a 2-hour test. If looked at that carefully, in 2 hours of the intense exam, taking a 10-minute break will give a pause to the flow of quick answering. But some may feel stressed for a continuous 2 hours test but it will be helpful if it is over at a time.

4.     The online test is available

PTE test has online version been accepted for visa purpose also. Previously PTE test scores will be accepted for visa or migration purposes only if the test is taken offline. But, now the new test can be taken online also and the scores will be considered just like the offline test.

5.     Feedback as score

Previously the score used to have both communication and skills score individually. But now for the new PTE test, the score will be given as feedback with which it will be easy for most of the candidates to study at their dream universities.

Without a doubt, the new PTE test is designed to help crack the test easily and make it student-friendly. If you are also planning to take the test for your abroad education, check our PTE Exam Preparation by our expert trainers.
